The beginning...
Aristar started out as a pile of black thread, a single black button, a piece of navy blue cloth, a piece of red thread, and a crazy plan.

His features...
Aristar's features are not only cute, they also signify specific things to me.
Aristar's Mouth: His mouth has a design of two, straight, horizontal lines. These vertical lines are tightly stitched together. Crossing over those lines, are six, smaller, vertical lines. Aristar's mouth is sewn shut.
Aristars Right Eye: Aristar has one eye. It is a single black button, the size of a nickel. It give the bear a pleading look.
Aristar's Left Eye: Instead of another eye, Aristar has a handstitched "X" where his other eye should be. This gives the bear a "lost" feeling. It also makes you want to hug the bear, and never let go.
Aristar's Red "X": Placed over where Aristar's heart would be, is a red "X". It is very small, but leads your mind to various places. It makes me think "Did someone take his heart out?" "It looks like someone hurt Aristar. Why would anyone hurt him?" "Who hurt him?"
